An integrative somatic practice is a whole-person approach that recognizes the connection between your mind, body, emotions, nervous system, and inner world. “Somatic” simply means of the body, but this work isn’t only about the body. It’s about learning to listen to yourself more deeply and understand how the different parts of your experience work together.
Rather than relying on one method, I draw from conversation and reflective inquiry, somatic exploration, breathwork, nervous system education, movement, and other practices depending on what feels supportive for you. -
People come to me for many different reasons. You might be feeling overwhelmed or burnt out, living with chronic pain or illness, moving through grief or a life transition, feeling disconnected from yourself, or noticing patterns that don’t seem to shift. You may have already done a lot of work on yourself and understand why you feel the way you do, but still feel like something deeper hasn’t changed.
You also don’t need to be struggling to begin this work. You may simply feel curious about yourself and want to deepen your self-awareness, self-trust, and connection to who you are! -
There isn’t a formula, because every person—and every session—is different. Some days we may spend most of our time talking and making sense of what’s happening in your life. Other days, we may slow things down and explore what you’re noticing through sensation, breath, emotion, movement, or the nervous system.
My approach is collaborative and responsive. I’ll meet you where you are that day and together we’ll explore what feels most supportive, while always leaving you with choice in where the session goes. -
Both. This is a space to process what you’re moving through, but it’s also a place to learn yourself.
We might explore how your nervous system responds to stress, how to recognize what your body is communicating, ways to work with emotions or overwhelm, or practices that help you return to yourself when you feel disconnected. The goal is to develop tools and awareness that become part of your everyday life…not something that only exists inside our sessions. -
Breathwork can serve many different purposes, and it doesn’t always look the same. Sometimes we use the breath to create steadiness or bring awareness to what’s happening in the body. Other times, breathwork can help us access emotions, patterns, or parts of ourselves that conversation alone doesn’t always reach.
It can also be a powerful tool for integration, giving the body and nervous system space to process and embody what we’ve already begun to understand together. -
Sessions are typically 75–90 minutes. I intentionally work beyond the traditional hour because I want there to be enough time to arrive, settle in, explore what’s present, and integrate without feeling rushed.
Some work takes time to unfold, especially when we’re slowing down and listening to the body. I want our sessions to have enough space to follow what comes up rather than watching the clock and having to abruptly move on. -
Not at all—but you absolutely can.
Some people arrive knowing exactly what they want support with. Others know that something feels off, that a pattern keeps repeating, or that they want to understand themselves more deeply but aren’t sure where to begin.
There’s room for both. We can start wherever you are. -
Finding the right person to work with is personal, and I don’t believe every practitioner is the right fit for every person.
That’s why I offer a free 15-minute consultation. It’s simply a chance for us to meet, talk about what’s bringing you here, answer any questions you have, and get a sense of whether working together feels right for you. There’s no pressure or expectation to book afterward.
